Robotech VF-1 Veritech “Valkyrie” Owners Manual

1 March 2009 1,232 views No Comment

I thought of the idea as I wrote the post for the GI Joe Barbecue matches. I was reminiscing of the tiem that I almost burned down my house while watching Robotech and cooking Eggrolls.

I took a look at a bunch of old car owners manuals to try and get a feel for the oldschool style owners manuals from the 80’s. I think that it looks pretty good. I most likely will toy with it a bit more later, but all in all pretty good for an hours worth of my time.

I am not entirely happy with the Action Script that was used to render the magazine shape. Perhaps in the future I will find a nicer magazine style action script and redo this image. I would also like to make the Veritech image a little less realistic, more just a line drawing as this is how a lot of old car owners manuals are.
